Microgynon is a combined oral contraceptive pill (COC) containing norethisterone and ethinylestradiol. It is used to prevent pregnancy and treat menstrual disorders. Microgynon is available in a 28-day pack with 21 active tablets and 7 inactive tablets. The active tablets contain 35mcg of norethisterone and 30mcg of ethinylestradiol. The inactive tablets are placebo tablets. Indication: Contraception, menstrual disorders. Dosage: Take one tablet daily for 21 days, followed by a 7-day break. Start on the first day of your period. Safety: Microgynon may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, mood changes, and headaches. Rare side effects include blood clots, stroke, and heart attack.
