Vometron 4mg Tablet is a prescription medication used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. It contains the active ingredient metoclopramide, which works by blocking the action of dopamine, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting. Indication: Nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. Dosage: Take 4mg orally 30 minutes before chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery. May repeat every 4 hours as needed. Safety: Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease, and in those taking other medications that may interact with metoclopramide. Side effects: Common side effects include dizziness, headache, and fatigue. Serious side effects include allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, and QT prolongation.
