Pharolit is a medication used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting. Pharolit is available in tablet form and is usually taken 30 minutes before chemotherapy, with subsequent doses every 8 hours as needed. Common side effects include headache, dizziness, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue, and injection site reactions.
