Maintate 2.5mg Tablet is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure, angina pectoris, and heart failure. It works by blocking the action of a natural chemical in your body that causes your heart to beat faster and stronger, which can increase blood pressure. Maintate is available in tablet form and should be taken once daily. The recommended dose is 50-200 mg, and the dose may be increased to 400 mg if necessary. Common side effects include dizziness, headache, and fatigue. Rare but serious side effects include bradycardia and hypotension. Maintate is contraindicated in patients with a history of heart block or severe bradycardia.
