Histapan 50mg Tablet is a histamine H2-receptor antagonist used to treat peptic ulcer disease and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This medication is indicated for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease and GERD. It is available in a 50mg tablet and should be taken 1 tablet twice a day, 30 minutes before meals. Swallow whole with water. Side effects may include diarrhea, abdominal pain, or headache. If these symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor. Do not use if you have a history of kidney or liver disease.
