Propylthiouracil Dexa 100mg Tablet is a medication used to treat hyperthyroidism. It contains propylthiouracil, which works by reducing the production of thyroid hormone in the thyroid gland. The recommended dose is 100-300mg per day, taken orally, in divided doses. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Rare side effects include allergic reactions, liver damage, and kidney damage. Use with caution in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease.
