Bisoprolol fumarate is a beta-blocker medication used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. It works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. This effect lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart. Indication: Hypertension. Dosage: 5-20 mg once daily. Safety: Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Rare side effects include bradycardia, hypotension, and worsening of heart failure. Storage: Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Precaution: Bisoprolol fumarate is contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, heart block, or sick sinus syndrome.
