Orphen is a muscle relaxant medication used to relieve muscle spasms and pain in conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. The recommended dose is 100-200 mg every 4-6 hours as needed, with a maximum daily dose of 600 mg. Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, and dry mouth, while rare but serious side effects include anaphylaxis, angioedema, and arrhythmias. Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or hyperthyroidism, and avoid concomitant use with other medications.
