Interhistin 50mg Tablet is a prescription-only medication used to prevent asthma symptoms and relieve symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis. It contains montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist that helps to block the action of leukotrienes, which are substances in the body that cause inflammation and constriction of the airways. The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily in adults and children 15 years and older, and 5 mg once daily in children 6 to 14 years. Common side effects include headache, dizziness, and nausea, while rare side effects include increased liver enzymes, and abnormal liver function tests.
