The medication works by reducing the release of histamine, a chemical that causes allergy symptoms. Inadryl Exp Sirup is available in a syrup form and is usually taken every 4-6 hours as needed. The recommended dose is 5-10 mL, and the maximum dose in 24 hours is 6 doses. Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and headache.
